This Privacy Policy explains how Sign the PDF ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the App. By installing or using Sign the PDF, you agree to the terms described below.

1. Information We Collect

Sign the PDF does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information. The developer of Sign the PDF does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information directly. The App does not upload your PDF documents, your signatures, or any file contents to any server controlled by the developer or by any other party.

However, the App displays advertisements through Google AdMob, which may collect and process the following data:

• Device or other IDs (such as the Android Advertising ID) - used for ad delivery and measurement.
• Approximate location - derived from network or IP address, used for ad targeting.
• App interactions - such as ad clicks and impressions, used for ad performance reporting.
• Diagnostic information - such as crash logs and performance data, used to diagnose problems and improve the Google Mobile Ads SDK.

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. We, the developer of Sign the PDF, do not directly collect, access, or store any of this data.

2. How Data Is Used and Shared

The data collected by Google AdMob is used for the following purposes:

• Displaying personalized or non-personalized advertisements within the App
• Measuring ad performance (impressions, clicks, conversions)
• Preventing fraud and abuse in advertising

The data is shared with Google as our advertising partner. We do not sell or share your data with any other third parties. The data is retained by Google according to Google's own data retention policies, which you can review at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

3. Your Choices and Controls

You can control how advertisers use your data through the following methods:

• Reset or delete your Advertising ID - Open Android Settings, then Privacy, then Ads, then Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
• Opt out of personalized ads - In Android Settings, then Privacy, then Ads, toggle "Opt out of Ads Personalization".
• Limit ad tracking - On newer versions of Android, you can completely remove your advertising ID, which prevents personalized ad targeting.

4. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Sign the PDF saves the following data only on your device, never on any server controlled by the developer:

• Saved signatures - Up to five signature images you have drawn or uploaded inside the App, stored in the App's private internal storage so that you can reuse them later without redrawing.
• Signed PDFs you save - When you tap Save, the App writes a new signed PDF to your device's Downloads folder (Android 10 and above) or to the App's external files directory (Android 9 and below). The original PDF you opened is never modified.
• Internal counters - The number of times you have used the Save action, used by the App to time when to show full-screen advertisements. This counter is stored locally and is not transmitted anywhere.

None of this data leaves your device. You can clear it at any time by:

• Deleting saved signatures inside the App from the "Saved signatures" section
• Clearing the App's data through Android Settings, then Apps, then Sign the PDF, then Storage, then Clear data
• Uninstalling the App (this removes all saved signatures and internal counters; signed PDFs already exported to Downloads remain there and are managed by you)

5. Documents You Open

When you open a PDF in Sign the PDF, the App reads that file only from the location you chose using the Android system file picker. Reading happens entirely on your device. The contents of your PDF are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with the developer or any third party, including Google AdMob. Page images are rendered locally using the Android system PDF renderer and a bundled open-source PDF library (PdfBox-Android).

If you use Android's "Share" or "Open" features inside the saved-file dialog to send a signed PDF to another app (such as Gmail or a cloud storage app), that other app receives the file directly through Android's standard file-sharing mechanism. Sign the PDF does not control what those other apps do with the file once you share it with them; please refer to their privacy policies.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Because the developer does not collect or store any user data on any server, there is no developer-side data to retain or delete. All locally stored data (saved signatures, internal counters) is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data through Android Settings. Signed PDFs you have exported to your Downloads folder are your files; the App does not delete them and does not track them.

7. Permissions

Sign the PDF requests the following Android permissions:

• INTERNET - required to load advertisements through Google AdMob. No other use.
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - used by Google AdMob to check network connectivity before loading ads.
• com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID - declared by the Google Mobile Ads SDK for accessing the Android Advertising ID.

The App does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, GPS location, phone, calendar, SMS, call logs, or any other sensitive permissions. Access to PDF files and to the images you upload as signatures is granted on a per-file basis through the Android system file picker; no broad storage permission is requested.

8. Children's Privacy

Sign the PDF is intended for general adult users who need to sign PDF documents. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this App, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

9. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party service:

• Google AdMob - for displaying advertisements. AdMob is operated by Google LLC. Learn more about how Google uses data from sites or apps that use their services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

No other third-party analytics, tracking, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs are integrated into the App.

10. Data Security

All data transmitted by Google AdMob is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS). Sign the PDF does not transmit any user data to the developer or to any other server. Locally stored data on your device is protected by Android's standard application sandboxing, which prevents other apps from accessing the saved signatures and internal data stored by Sign the PDF.

11. International Users

Sign the PDF is available worldwide. By using the App, you acknowledge that any data processed by Google AdMob may be transferred to and processed in countries where Google operates servers, including the United States. Google complies with applicable data protection regulations including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

12. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding the data Google AdMob collects about you, including:

• The right to access the data collected
• The right to request deletion
• The right to opt out of personalized advertising
• The right to data portability
